I’m Saman, a journalist based in New York City. I currently work at USA Today as a Trending Reporter, where I cover everything from the latest TV shows to pets, animals and current affairs.
Makeup is a major part of my life and to say that I am obsessed with it would not be wrong. I thoroughly enjoy the process of testing new products and meticulously applying them to my face to see what works and what doesn’t.
More than 10 years ago when I was a young, doe-eyed student, I set up a blog — “The Makeup Pouch” — to express my love for the art as well as share what I learnt and liked as I tested new products I bought with my meagre pocket money.
They say, life always comes full circle, and here I am going back to my roots and connecting with the one thing that always brought me joy and fulfillment: talking and obsessing over makeup.
So here’s to things old and new, and a world where everything is rosy, poreless and glassy.
