Building my Makeup Pouch

I sat long to figure out what my first post should be about and inspiration hit me just as I was scrolling through Instagram. Lillian Babian, who is one of my favourite Instagram influencers put out a video on the same and I knew that’s what my first post should be about. Without further ado, let’s dig in.

Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Matte Pore Minimizing Primer

This primer has never let me down. It makes my skin feel fresh and hydrated through the day and helps my makeup last long, making it an instant winner.

SKIN 1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum

While a sunscreen’s main job to protect your skin, my other demand is that it should make makeup look good and Centella’s ticks both boxes. I love how it settles into my skin and makes it look smoother instead of sitting over it and making it feel heavy. Truth be told, I like it better than the viral and immensely popular Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen.

tarte Face Tape Foundation

For someone who tends to sweat a lot, tarte’s Face Tape is a life-saver. The foundation gives my skin a real lift without feeling cakey or heavy. It blends beautifully and lasts pretty much all day when set properly with powder and setting spray.

e.l.f. Halo Glow Skin Tint

If you’re more of a foundation person, I’d hundred percent recommend e.l.f.’s Halo Glow Skin Tint which offers light coverage with a luminous finish and almost feels like second skin.

Huda Beauty Easy Bake Blurring Loose Baking & Setting Powder

I’ve tried a plethora of setting powders but none of them helped extend the wear time of my makeup except this one. The powder is finely milled and gives a soft, airbrushed finish, so no complaints.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette

Anastasia knew what she was doing with this palette. It’s a lovely mix of shimmers and mattes and offers all the shades you could need for a variety of looks. The shadows are pigmented, which explains why my palette continues to run strong, and are blendable. What more could a girl want?

Sephora Collection 12 Hour Colorful Contour Pencil Eyeliner

I have lost count of the number of Sephora Collection eyeliners I have gone through. These eye pencils are creamy and super pigmented and last pretty much through everything, except maybe a breakdown. While they come in a variety of colors, my favorite is the shade Black Lace and Endless Nights.

Huda Beauty Blush Filter Soft Glow Liquid Blush

Huda Beauty’s Blush Filter Liquid Blushes are my go-to. They aren’t super pigmented, which I like because it allows you to build your blush and decide the intensity instead of looking like someone suffering from blush blindness. Trust me, I’ve been there. I have these blushes in the shades Latte, Peach Sorbet and Intense Guava and have my eyes on the shade Watermelon Pop.

Honorary mention here would be the e.l.f. Liquid Blushes cause those are incredible for the price point. 10/10 would recommend.

tarte Sculpt Tape Contour

Contour is generally the trickiest part of doing makeup and you want to make sure your face look chiseled and not a muddy mess. For this purposes, I love the tarte contour cause the applicator allows me to control the placement and amount of product and secondly it’s super pigmented and blendable, so a little goes a long way.

Colorpop Precision Brow Pencil

I’m not very fussy about eyebrows, so I’d just grab the first thing I’d see. Right now Colorpop’s eyebrow pencil is in my rotation and I love it. It’s pigmented, smooth and does the job.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray

There’s a wide variety of amazing setting sprays available in the market and though many of them do the job well, the one product I reach for for when I need my makeup to look flawless is this one from Charlotte Tilbury.

NARS Powermatte Lipstick

Probably the hardest decision to be made but my ride or die lipsticks without a doubt are NARS Powermatte because they come in a stunning variety of shades, are pigmented and settle down to a comfortable matte that almost feels weightless on the lips. My favorite shade from their range would be Be My Girl.
